Ah, summer. Finally time to say goodbye to those heavy sweaters and leggings that seemed to lurk in your closet forever. It’s time to show off a little sun-kissed skin that has been shielded from the cold for months. Summer is by far my favorite season for fashion because the weather allows you to wear so many different pieces that you weren’t able to rock in the cold winter months. Whether you’re spending your summer days at the beach or even working in an office, there’s just something about summer that makes you feel more confident in what you’re wearing.
Living on the Jersey Shore, I am inspired by many styles up and down the beach. For the most part, everyone has more a laid-back vibe. However, these styles are the farthest thing from boring. I often compare the styles to those seen on the West Coast in Southern California. Even though New Jersey isn’t blessed with beautiful weather almost every day, you can find some seriously RAD styles in the summer.
This Fashionista is wearing an awesome pair of flare pants that she purchased on sale from Abercrombie & Fitch. Contrary to popular belief, Abercrombie & Fitch has totally revamped their brand. They have moved on from the days of the moose logo, and now have truly adorable and affordable beachy clothing. She wore a simple yet flattering white halter top to keep the pants the main focus of the outfit.
To accessorize, she wore her brand new Ray-Ban Clubmaster sunnies. The Clubmaster style has been making a huge comeback in the last few years. This season, Ray-Ban has integrated their popular flash lens style into the Clubmaster, which makes for a really cool and unique look. Check out these Clubmaster look-a-likes from Urban Outfitters if you’re looking to save some money! To top off this look, she added a gold arm cuff. Arm cuffs are the perfect accessory to add if you’re bored of your everyday jewelry.
One Simple Change: Think these pants are SO comfortable that you would wear them to class? Substitute the halter top with a white muscle T-shirt and add a necklace. Being comfy and cool for school is easier than you may think!
