If you had told me a few weeks ago that summer was drawing near, I don’t think I would have believed you. This past semester has been packed to the brim with important projects that never seemed to get done. But somehow I made it through and am now glad to have a few days of peace before heading to New York City for a fashion internship. I know a lot of people are traveling this summer for various jobs and internships. It’s exciting to see where friends are ending up after graduation or just for the summer! As always, packing is going to be a problem for me; I either overpack with the wrong things or don’t pack enough all together. It’s important to think about simple staple pieces that can be remixed multiple times to create new outfits without piling up in a suitcase.
I spotted this Fashionista while we were both waiting outside a restaurant for a table. I immediately liked the trendy cut of her jumpsuit. Pockets are a must-have for functionality in modern garments and the way the pants stop at her ankles instead of continuing to the floor keeps the look from going too ’70s. The striped linen fabric is comfortable, cool and gives the outfit a dressed-down vibe. This Fashionista’s chunky heels complete the look, which is sophisticated while staying effortless. This jumpsuit is a staple piece that could be dressed up or down while always keeping you fashionable and comfortable.
One Simple Change:Â This jumpsuit could easily be dressed down. If you want to wear it to class or maybe to work, just swap out the chunky heels for flat sneakers and add a casual bomber jacket. You’re ready to go from day to night!
