The end of semester has finally came to an end you know what that means: Final exams are over, semester projects are completed, it’s the end of sleep deprivation and it’s time to trade in textbooks and high lighters for frappuccinos and sunblock. Summer also entails switching out our winter/spring wardrobe for one that can take on serious heat waves. But a question I am always asked is how to stay fashionable and on-trend, yet comfortable during the summer? As I toured around the Square, the epicenter of history and culture here in Denton, I pondered on this very question.
Relaxing on the lawn of the historic Denton Courthouse, it was here that I captured this TWU Fashionista styling off a gorgeous printed maxi dress from Target, which can be manipulated and styled in various ways. And having a fiber content of 100 percent cotton allows the dress to breathe, which is perfect for summer weather; especially in Texas .
This Fashionista decided to keep it classy yet simplistic by pairing it with vintage jewelry, a Michael Kors rose gold tone watch, a pair of platform sandals in leather, and a Patricia Nash satchel. As a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista, I rule that this Fashionista is guilty of being fashionably on point.
One Simple Change: Just clocked off from work and want to hit up happy hour with your girlfriends? Take this look from day to night by pairing it with a leather jacket, a classic smoky eye and a matte red lip.
