WHAT TO WEAR: Tailgating

The fall season means one thing and one thing only, football. This past weekend, the entire Fort Worth area geared up for the first home game of the season. Around my school, we bleed purple, and everyone here is a Frogs fan no matter what. On game day you will see everyone, from peoples’ pets to each and every student, decked from head to toe in purple and white. When we have home games, we spend the entire week getting ready for that Saturday afternoon game. But along with those games comes the Texas heat, and it is brutal. The struggle is real when you all you want to do is look cute, but not wear something that will make you sweat more than you already are going to sweat.

As you can see here, this Fashionista chose a purple dress. It is lightweight and breathable (which you won’t get too hot in it) featuring a cute open back. This dress can be paired with a bralette, which to me, is a must-have in any girl’s wardrobe. She also is wearing her cowboy boots, a must-have on game day in the south. When you are standing the entire game you want to be comfortable, and these boots are just so perfect. And you can’t forgot a cute cross-body bag to carry all your essentials in, such as sunglasses and your favorite lip product. By adding some gold accessories, I think that it takes the whole outfit up a notch and ties it together.

One Simple Change: After a long game and the heat, usually everyone’s first thought is “what are we going to eat for dinner?” If you are just off to a causal dinner with friends, you can throw on cute sandals and a lightweight sweater for when it gets chillier at night. By just adding those two simple things you can take your game day wear to a perfect, casual nighttime outfit after a long day.
