It’s the middle of September, and college football season is already in full swing. Football season is my absolute favorite time of year, and tailgating is one of my favorite events to dress for. It is so awesome to dress up for game day and show off your personal style and school spirit at the same time! If you’re anything like me, you’ll constantly look for pieces that not only look great, but are also comfortable. This Fashionista found an outfit that will help her cheer on her team and look awesome doing it!
At Mizzou, black and gold are everywhere you look on game day. In keeping with school spirit, this Fashionista chose a really comfortable black dress and paired it with a gold knit beanie. Since the weather in Mid-Missouri is so unpredictable, it is a good idea to choose a simple piece and then layer it if needed. This Fashionista chose to layer with a black and gold flannel, which also doubles as a cute accessory when not being used as a jacket.
To me, accessories are a big part of an outfit. This Fashionista chose to make a statement with black and gold sunglasses, a jeweled necklace, a gold bracelet, a watch and gold rings. These are great for adding gold accents to the black dress. She finishes off the look with some cute, yet edgy black booties.
There are so many different ways to go about dressing for a game day. I love going to tailgates and seeing the way each person put their personal spin on game day attire.
Simple change: Swap the black booties for heels to take the outfit from the tailgates to a night time event!
