In a few days you will be leaving for a tropical vacation and like always, you’ve waited to pack until the last minute. Naturally, you’ll throw in some swimsuits, shorts and T-shirts, maybe your new fedora, a pair of sandals and your sport coat and khakis for the fancy dinner your mom planned at the end of the trip. But, what to wear on that day you are taking a boat to a near by island for a casual dinner? A spectacular boating outfit that’s what.
I love this Fashionisto’s outfit because it is tropical and laid back while still being simple and classic. He wore a floral short sleeve button-up with heather gray linen shorts and leather Sperry Top-Siders. The floral print on the shirt was enough to add a little color and island vibe to his outfit without drawing all of your attention. The linen shorts are a great summer option because they are light weight and still look nice for dinner time. For me the shoes really made the outfit. I have always been a fan of Sperry Top-Siders, but, the leather on this pair was really beautiful. I would recommend these for any summertime dinner or semi-formal outing (like a date night!). All in all, this outfit was a great success because each element shared a light summery style with a hint of paradise.
One Simple Change: Although this outfit is great for almost any summertime occasion, to dress it up for a nice dinner you could switch the shorts out for a pair of khakis and add a light blue sport coat to tie it all together.
