Summer brings many expectations, such as consuming numerous fruity popsicles, lightning bugs and family vacations. More specifically, a beach vacation. Summer beach vacations are the best for a few reasons: Warm weather, light clothing, the smell of coconut, wavy hair and listening to a lot of country music. At night we always go to dinner at Shorty’s and I stuff my face with crab cakes and somehow still have room for ice cream. Okay, so clearly those are my favorite things about the beach, but hopefully you can relate to some of them! No need to pack your anorak for this trip, if you are a tourist on your vacation, or if you are just walking to the beach from your condo, this Fashionista’s outfit is the perfect inspiration for you.
This Fashionista is beach-bound holding a tropical print Lily Pulitzer bag with a towel and her favorite Avène sunscreen and Thermal Water inside. Her lightweight, colorful shorts look great with a tan and can also hide bathing suit bottoms underneath. An obvious priority at the beach is to get into the water as quickly as possible, so slip-on shoes are a must-have! She is also wearing a woven, sea-grass hat that is perfect to keep the sun out of her eyes, plus it adds a stylish touch to such an otherwise casual outfit.Â
One Simple Change: Ditch the flats and hat for some platform cork wedges and throw your sea salt hair up in a topknot or braid to take the look from day to night.
