Ah, the weekend: a break from responsibilities and alarm clocks, and the freedom to show off your favorite outfits. Whether it’s a beach day or a trip to the mall, putting your favorite pieces together in order to show off your one-of-a-kind style is key.
My favorite looks typically consist of versatile pieces that you can dress up or dress down. Residing in San Francisco, however, practically guarantees that I will come across all sorts of preferences, which makes it an exciting place to explore for the next Fashionisto/a. Summertime around here is quite different from other cities: instead of shorts and flip-flops, we need to tote around coats and sweaters, even if the sun pops out from behind the fog.
This Fashionista went all-out on a sunny, but chilly, day in San Francisco. Her mint fuzzy sweater kept her nice and cozy without sacrificing style, and added a subtle pop of color to her otherwise monochromatic ensemble. Pairing her sweater with a classic circle skirt in black ensured a look that is polished and put together. Keeping the windy weather in mind, this Fashionista knew she could not keep her legs bare so she opted for an edgy, over-the-knee sock in her tried and true booties. The finishing touch for the day showed a little ’90s flair: a suede layered choker. She was able to stay comfortable while still showing off her personal style with an array of textures.
One Simple Change: Weather too hot for a fuzzy sweater? Try swapping it out for a cute, casual T-shirt to avoid getting heat stroke this summer!
