Summer is finally here and everyone is out sporting cute sundresses, rompers and sandals. This #RAD Fashionista, however, is taking her summer style in another direction and creating a more edgy look. When it comes to weekend wear, I look for an outfit that is versatile to fit most activities that take place, and this Fashionista’s outfit is perfect for anything. Whether it be shopping, eating at a trendy new restaurant or strolling through the park, this outfit is the perfect amount of casual and cool to have you looking good no matter what it is that you’re up to. Taking inspiration from Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake circa the 2001 Video Music Awards, this Fashionista has made denim-on-denim her own thing, as well as made a perfectly styled and edgy outfit.
This Fashionista is rocking denim all over. Her perfect weekend outfit, fit for all activities, features a trendy denim jacket. Bringing more denim to the look, the jacket is paired with high-waisted, distressed denim shorts in the same shade. To break up all of the denim is a cool vintage T-shirt providing a pop of bright yellow. Tying the look together is a pair of white high-top Converse sneakers.
One Simple Change: In order to take this look from a day spent at flea markets and vintage shops to a night with friends, swap the high-waisted shorts for a statement skirt made of either leather or suede. Consider adding a clutch or cross-body bag to complete the outfit.
