School may be out for the summer, but that doesn’t mean your school wardrobe has to be, too! I am a big fan of taking pieces from different seasons and finding ways to wear them all year round. It’s the best way to get more bang for your buck and it gives you so many more options.
For the look featured, this Fashionista decided to break out her lace-up knee-high boots from the fall and incorporate them into a more summer appropriate look—perfect for the weekend! She paired them with a bright red A-line skirt, hitting a few inches above her knee and a black cropped tank top. She accessorized the look with a pair of trendy mirrored sunglasses and a satchel which tied in nicely with the color of her skirt. Since this particular day was a little breezy, the Fashionista left her apartment prepared with a denim jacket which she kept laid over her shoulders. To finish off the look, she added a vintage baseball cap, which is both cute and functional.
One Simple Change: If this Fashionista wanted to take this weekend look out for a night on the town, she could trade in her current accessories (the sunglasses, satchel and baseball cap) for a bold statement necklace! Because she is wearing solid colored pieces, the Fashionista has more of an ability to dress her outfit up or down depending on how she accessorizes. Add an extra coat of mascara and maybe even a little lip gloss and she’s ready to go!
