The best and worst part of the week happen back-to-back: Saturday night and Sunday. This Fashionista seemed blissfully unaware of this fact as I caught her headed to do some homework post-brunch. She made working on the weekend look not so terrible. Maybe the key is “look put together, feel put together?” The easiest way to look put together is to center your outfit around key items, such as a good pair of jeans and a T-shirt. Pull them together with accessories, like a great winter coat, and you’re good to go.
She works staples in really well with her statements. The hood of her jacket, as she proudly told me, is adorned in a Coyote fur. It’s very much the highlight of her look, counterbalanced by the length and simplicity of the rest of the coat. Her infinity scarf is just the right shade of off-white to enhance the colors of her hood. The contrast between the length of the scarf and that of the jacket add a nice dimension to her outfit. No item overshadows the other, including her Chelsea boots. Intentional or not, the way her jeans casually fall over the tops of them is a style move not easy to pull off. She really makes her weekend look effortless, even though she’s hitting the books full force.
One Simple Change: Add a chunky knit sweater to the mix for colder days. This Fashionista relies on the warmth of her cozy jacket, but with brands like The Row showing their new collections, how could we not want more knit?
