The last couple of college weekends are wrapping up here at Western Washington University and to help relieve students of the stress from finals week, the school has put on many fun events filled with music, food and friends all around campus to help everyone relax and unwind.
This week, I spotted this Fashionista on a picnic enjoying the sun in this fun and flirty sundress. I was automatically attracted to this look because of its print and also because I think it embodies the perfect “simple yet stylish” outfit to wear for the warm weekends. The patterned dress and black fabric slip-ons are easy to throw on, and the light cardigan adds a nice layer and contrast over the dress. I also like the minimalistic jewelry because it’s subtle and doesn’t take away from the main focus of this look. The colorful fabric and bohemian pattern on the dress definitely also reminds me of the recent spring and summer collections by Etro and Valentino, and I think it just works so well for this season.
If there’s one thing I can say about this attire, it’s that this Fashionista definitely looks ready to go wherever her weekend takes her, whether it’s a stroll in the park or an ice cream date in downtown. Since summer also allows for a wider range of clothing options, this simple outfit can also be mixed and matched with other pieces to create different looks for various occasions.
One Simple Change: To change this look for a night out or a more formal event, simply add a statement necklace and a pair of ankle strap heels to make it a classier look for the evening.
