Being a college student can be tough, and the harsh realities that the end of winter break and the start of the new semester bring can be intimidating. You now have to worry about new classes, spending more time on homework and studying and less time focusing on choosing outfits for the week. Thankfully, this leaves the weekend for your style to shine. On her way to the movies, this Fashionista is ready to turn heads in her monochromatic yet chic outfit.
It may be winter, and the temperatures seem to be creeping towards below zero degrees; however, this Fashionista does not let the cold weather stop her from showing a little skin. To do this, layers are important, and including a warm coat makes a considerable impact on the comfort and look of the outfit.
To start off the outfit, she chose a graphic crop top that features a mock turtleneck and keeps the outfit trendy. She paired the top with a textured circle skirt that added some depth and color to the outfit while contrasting the otherwise all black outfit. To keep warm, the Fashionista layered with a vintage black trench coat that contrasts the shortness of the skirt to give the outfit a multi-level and balanced look. To finish off the outfit and contrast the chicness of the skirt and top, she finished with black tights and chunky Dr. Martens boots.
One Simple Change: Going to be outside for long periods of time in the cold weather? Switch out the skirt for a pair of high-waisted jeans to keep the look chic but comfortable and warm.
