Happy February, Fashionistas/os!
There is only about a month of the winter season left. It’s hard to believe since the temperature just began to drop below freezing here in South Jersey. Luckily for me, the Fashionistas on my campus are spreading some serious style to help beat these chilly blues.
I’m so happy to introduce you to this Fashionista! Her style is mostly casual but effortlessly trendy. She basically gives off all the cool girl vibes. She snagged most of her outfit at Goodwill and, I have to say, she combined them perfectly. She also has much more patience than I to be able to run through the racks until the finds that must-have item. Here is a cheap and similar alternative to her purse!
This Fashionista loves to spend her days outside, laid back in layers. Her style reflects her love for nature and makes me feel cozy upon admiring the multi-pattern combination of an oversized flannel and sweater. The key to matching these items is consistency in colors, and she knocked it out of the park. Ripped American Eagle Outfitters jeans and comfy, knit socks add to this feminine meets menswear look.
As if she wasn’t cool enough, this Fashionista supports small business when buying accessories! Her choker is from an individually-run Internet jewelry site called ChokeHer Necklaces. The jewelry is handmade and the owner’s line concepts change with the seasons.
One Simple Change: Perhaps the best part about a versatile flannel and cutie booties are that they can be worn in dozens of different ways. Switch out the Fashionista’s chunky sweater for a cute crop and trade the jeans for a pair of cutoffs and you have yourself a hot summer look.
