Okay ladies, let’s be honest. We may claim that all of those girls that feel the need to look cute all of the time, including while working out, are just a little bit too much. But who doesn’t want to look cute? Why should working out be any different? And looking cute while working out won’t just make you feel good about your outwards appearance, but about your self-confidence. Because when you look good, you feel good! And with summer upon us, there’s no more need to bundle up and stay inside. Summer is a great time to get out there and try new things, whether it be kayaking or hiking, or just a simple run outside. And having a cute workout outfit or two (or three) doesn’t hurt!
In today’s market there are so many options regarding workout gear in terms of styles, brands and functions. Lululemon has been becoming increasingly more and more popular over the past few years. And although I love Lululemon, recently I have been experimenting with some other lines including Teeki Yoga Apparel as well as Alo Yoga. I prefer to have some fun with my workout gear! I love incorporating bright colors into my workout apparel, something I normally don’t do a lot of day-to-day. Workout apparel is a great way to have fun and feel better about yourself and wardrobe.
Here, Fashionista Laura is sporting the perfect summer layers for a workout. Her airy Michael Stars muscle tank top (worn under pullover sweatshirt) fits loosely and can easily be used as a layering piece throughout her wardrobe. Layered with this LNA for Urban Outfitters cutout pullover, Laura’s outfit combines function with style. The cutouts at the elbow allow for freedom of movement while exercising while also providing a stylish detail. Her marbled lululemon leggings add some color, creating visual interest to an otherwise neutral outfit. Laura finished off her workout outfit with adorable ombre Nike Rosche Ones. All in all Laura’s outfit although very functional for workouts allows her to easily run around town while maintaining the essence of personal style!
One Simple Change: To take this outfit from workout to weekend-wear, shed the pullover and try swapping out the patterned leggings for a pair of skinny jeans and the sneakers with a cute sandal!
