It’s almost that time of the year again. School time! Being in school can be very stressful sometimes, especially in combination with extracurricular activities, a job, volunteer work, and a social life. One thing I’ve learned is that being stressed hinders my productivity. No one wants to go through the school year stressed, so here are some items that you should keep in your bag to ensure a stress-free school year.
1—A planner. Keeping a planner is one of the best ways to stay organized, which in turn leads to less stress. Trying to remember multiple dates is incredibly difficult. Having the dates written down and being able to visualize your schedule will help with productivity and prioritizing. Not only are they helpful, but they are fun to personalize! There are many planners like this Ban.do planner that are cute and leave room for plenty of personal notes. Use sticky notes and different colored pens for ultimate organization.
2—Water. Staying hydrated is important to make sure you are feeling your best. Thankfully, there are many ways to keep hydrated. The most obvious way is to drink water, which does not have to be boring. Add some fruit to your water for some flavor and freshness. Another great way to stay hydrated is by using rose water face spray. It’s refreshing, smells good, and hydrates your skin. It’s also a great tool to keep you awake during those all nighters!
3—Earbuds. I think we all know that earbuds are a must when it comes to the school year. Sometimes walking across campus can take some time, so you might as well enjoy it with some music. Additionally, music is a great stress reliever. Earbuds are necessary for places such as the library, where you will probably do most of your work. I recommend keeping a pair in each bag if you have more than one.
Enjoy the school year by leaving the stress behind! Pick up a cute water bottle and planner next time you’re at the store and the student in you will thank you at the end of the semester.
